They celebrated all aspects of feminine power, including the darker sides, the crone and the cutter of the thread of life. With the spread of oppressive patriarchal societies and belief systems, the pre-literate goddess myths were driven underground, deliberately camouflaged in order to save them. Their motifs and metaphors are secret codes that carry hidden meanings designed to teach and empower us on our life’s journey.”
